Apnea
As
you sleep, the tongue
and muscles and sot
tissue surrounding the
airway relax and
reduce the size of the
opening. As you breathe,
these tissues vibrate
resulting in snoring.
Sometimes the airway
can even close the airway,
resulting in sleep apnea.
Sleep apnea
can only be diagnosed
in a licensed sleep
lab facility.
The
snoring and sleep apnea
oral appliance is a
good option to treat
snoring as well as
the CPAP machine to
treat mild to moderate
sleep apnea. The oral
appliance works by
keeping the lower jaw
forward, therefore keeping
the tongue and related
soft tissue from
closing the airway.
